What challenges must today’s students overcome to access high-impact opportunities? Here is an institutional-wide collection of student perspectives regarding opportunities taken or missed. Overall goals of the study are to determine barriers to student participation in HIPs and guide initiatives to promote inclusion. The study also includes National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) student engagement items for a detailed comparison
between college and/or departments to institutional-level results from NSSE.

Members of the Division of Organizational Training and Performance's Re-branding Committee will discuss the process they went through to re-brand the division and share thoughts on re-branding the division. Discussion will include insights on their perception of the division before and after the re-branding efforts, along with their thoughts on how to continue to grow the division.

This presentation will describe the process for designing, delivering, and evaluating a HIP capstone course for seniorundergraduate IDT students. The capstone course enabled students to demonstrate their mastery of the Instructional Design and Technology knowledge, skills, and abilities they had developed during their academic program. Students were led through an authentic learning experience to solve a performance improvement project for a “real client” and develop their e-Portfolio. Students were empowered to work collaboratively with the client during the course and given the opportunity to showcase their analysis, design, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, planning, and evaluation skills.
