Bio & Expertise
Susan Fried received a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from University of Houston. She then moved to Connecticut and worked at Hill Health Center as a Birth to Three Early Interventionist. Susan continued her studies at the University of New Haven where she earned a masters in industrial organizational psychology. Simultaneously, Susan wrote and administered an educational grant where she hired, onboarded and then implemented programs designed to improve neighborhood relationships between African American and Jewish communities within the greater New Haven area.
Susan has taught Hebrew and general Judaic studies to preschool, first - eighth grade, high school and adults. She spent 15 years working as a senior librarian, specializing in creative classroom curriculum development. Susan has worked with educators to guide them in developing creative ways to enhance their coursework.
Susan is currently the HSA program coordinator of the UWF Usha Kundu, MD COH, Health Sciences and Administration and teaches Internship in Healthcare Administration. Susan has a passion for motivating and inspiring students through experiential learning opportunities that prepares them to work in the field of healthcare.
