Introduction: Results from the Spring 2024 National College Health Assessment indicate that students at the University of West Florida report higher rates of stress and anxiety over 12 months compared to national student data. This scoping review aims to explore the effects of mindfulness, meditation, and self-care on stress and anxiety among nursing students.This survey examined various aspects of student health, including mental health, physical health, and health behaviors.

The purpose of performing a needs assessment is to systematically examine the gap between an organization's current and desired state and the factors contributing to that gap (Cuiccio & Husby Slater, 2018)
The authors are conducting a needs assessment at the University of West Florida to identify gaps in trauma-informed care in higher education to better support nursing students working in complex healthcare environments where they treat traumatized patients

Trauma-informed care (TIC) Is a commonly used term without a universal definition.
Patient care should be approached in a way that does not induce or reactivate any past trauma.
Recognizing patients' past trauma will allow providers to deliver patient-centered care and create a safe environment.
The goal of this review is lo clarify the borrowed concept of TIC in the field of nursing.
TIC may contribute to improving health outcomes.
