This research aims to analyze the portrayal and societal significance of the Seven Deadly Sins in both their personification and cultural understanding as seen in Vivienne Medrano’s adult animated series Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. This literary analysis will allow an insight into a postmodernist interpretation of sin from a perspective that views these flaws as humanistic, in which these traits signify individuality within society. This shift away from the original religious portrayal of these traits as inherently evil, especially in texts that have become part of pop culture, shows a marked difference in the commonly accepted understanding of these traits.
