Dr. Priyadarshan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and an M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering, both from the University of Nevada, Reno. His research spans a wide range of areas, including material–environment interactions, corrosion prevention and mitigation, energy materials, materials manufacturing, non-destructive testing, fatigue and failure analysis, metallurgical processes, carbon sequestration, and biomaterials.
Prior to joining UWF in 2021, Dr. Priyadarshan served as a Senior Research Scientist at the National Center for Physical Acoustics at the University of Mississippi and co-founded EMD Technologies in Reno, Nevada. His work has addressed critical challenges in energy research, advanced manufacturing, nuclear storage materials and environmental remediation.
