Liza Campbell is a University Librarian at the University of West Florida, where she heads the Libraries’ Technical Services department and serves as the Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian. Since taking on the leadership role in 2019, she has overseen the department’s transition into a cohesive unit responsible for managing the full lifecycle of library resources, from acquisition and cataloging to digitization, metadata enhancement, and collection maintenance.

She supervises a team of professional staff and coordinates closely with public services and systems teams to ensure that library users can discover and access materials seamlessly. Her work supports the integrity of the library’s database, improves the accessibility of bibliographic records, and aligns local practices with evolving national standards.

In addition to managing technical workflows, Liza represents the university in statewide consortial efforts related to electronic resources, contributes to strategic planning and assessment initiatives, and leads projects that enhance the discoverability and impact of the university’s collections.
