Dr. Amitabh Mishra

Dr. Amitabh Mishra, an Associate Professor, has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is one of the four University of West Florida researchers who earned a place on Stanford/Elsevier's Top 2% Scientist Rankings lists in 2024 and 2023. The prestigious list identifies the world's leading researchers, representing approximately 2% of all scientists worldwide. Dr. Mishra has been in this list since 2022.

His research areas include wireless sensor networks, heterogeneous networks and wireless control. Mishra’s background includes experience in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Computer Networks, Wireless Technologies, Instrumentation, Control and Automation, Education, Training, HR Management and Project Management.

Dr. Mishra has worked with process automation networks, wireless body area networks and network test beds extensively. Mishra received much of his education in India. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Ravi Shankar University, a PG Diploma in Biomedical Information at Bioinformatics Institute, a PG in Personnel Management from the National Institute of Personnel Management, and a Master of Technology in Instrumentation from Devi Ahilya University. His research has been published in several high ranking journals and special issues of Computing, Networking and Communications as well as TCSIM Quarterly Newsletter and proceedings at various conferences.
