•Postpartum hemorrhage is a serious condition that occurs when a woman experiences excessive bleeding after giving birth.
•Postpartum hemorrhage is defined as blood loss of 1000 ml or more within 24 hours after childbirth (Committee on Practice Bulletins-Obstetrics, 2017).
•Postpartum hemorrhage is a leading cause of maternal mortality.
•Uterine massage is a technique used to assist with the management of postpartum hemorrhage.
