Abstract
The leading cause of neonatal mortality is prematurity and hypothermia is a contributing factor (Demtse et al., 2020). Kangaroo Mother Care is recommended for all stable neonates, reporting a 40% reduction in mortality at discharge (Brotherton et al., 2021). Preterm infants and neonates put under stress factors like bright lights and other medical equipment can lead to physiological and behavioral reactions (Crist bal Ca adas et al., 2022).
