Abstract

The induction of labor (IOL) stimulates labor artificially. IOL has been discouraged in the past due to its correlation with cesarean sections and adverse birth outcomes. The number of women undergoing this medical intervention has risen from 9% in 1989 all the way up to 31% by 2020 (Adair et al., 2023)
