Abstract

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease that results in dementia and causes dependence on others to survive due to the deterioration of cognitive and physical functions and capabilities affecting 6.5 million people in America alone (Alzheimer’s disease, 2024). Patients with Alzheimer's disease end up hospitalized in the early stages of the disease which can cause psychological damage to the patients (Alparslan et al., 2019). While there has been an immense amount research conducted into finding a cure for Alzheimer’s, no definitive cure has been found. However, there have been studies that show evidence of nonpharmacological therapies improving quality of life (Giulietti et al., 2023).
