Abstract
Research strategies were used to learn more about allocation of scarce resources in an ICU crisis. The importance of having a structured framework in a crisis, verses thinking on the spot without a framework, is highlighted throughout our PICO question. (In adult ICU nurses, during a declared public health crisis , how does using an established ethical decision making framework compare to making clinical decisions without of nursing a structured framework, influence the levels burnout and moral distress?)
