Abstract
Obesity and type II diabetes presents a significant problem in the United States. Weight loss and management can be a challenge. Overweight increases risks of comorbidities. Type II diabetics are more susceptible to weight gain. Overweight increases hunger due to increased adiposity and hormonal signaling. Semaglutide is a GLP 1 antagonist that decreases hunger and impacts insulin regulation.
