Abstract
Stroke is the third leading cause of disability globally and ranks second in mortality causes. Ischemic stroke is caused by vessel blockage which strains the brain s blood supply. Strokes are considered a medical emergency, and it is well known in the medical community that time is tissue. Research is constantly evolving, and current research is showing that positive outcomes and survival rates are associated when the patient receives intervention within 60 minutes of the onset of stroke symptoms.
