Mindfulness meditation has emerged as a promising therapeutic technique for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (Komariah et al., 2023). Typical treatment includes medications such as antidepressants and benzodiazepines which can increase risk of dependency, tolerance, and many side effects (Hoge, 2018). Mindfulness meditation offers a non pharmacological approach to alleviate symptoms (Komariah et al., 2023). This technique allows the patient to focus on the present, create awareness of own thoughts and feelings, reduce reactivity, and reduces stress (Komariah et al., 2023).
