Pressure injuries, also known as pressure ulcers or bedsores, are among various preventable complications affecting millions of patients subjected to long-term care facilities or extended hospitalization.
Enhancing patient care can be prioritized through mandated sustainable and reasonable nurse-to-patient ratios, which can reduce the occurrence of pressure injuries and improving patient/health outcomes.
