● 80% of primiparous women sustain a perineal tear during childbirth (Jansson et al., 2020).
● Of the women who tear during birth, 60-70% of them will need suturing after birth (Ramar et al., 2024).
● Tearing during childbirth can be a traumatic experience for mothers, leading to pain and increasing the risk of infection after delivery. Consequently,
research focused on preventing these complications is essential for promoting maternal health.
