Abstract
As an individual living in the world of art, I constantly feel a strong desire to create works that merge traditional processes with digital mediums and vice versa. Many of my traditional pieces revolve around drawing mediums such as graphite, charcoal, crayons, and watercolors. Stylistically, these pieces tend to lean toward a photorealistic style. On the other hand, my digital works rely on anime characteristics that exaggerate certain features of figures while using simple cell shading to add color through programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. With every new work I create, the stylistic differences between my traditional pieces and digital illustrations grow closer together until they meet at a balancing point that I am at today.
