Abstract
Thermoregulation and low birth weight are significant problems faced by premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. Kangaroo care involves continuous skin-to-skin care between infants and parents or guardians holding them. The review of the literature was performed to examine the effects of skin-to-skin contact on premature infants.
