Pressure injuries in critical care hospitalized patients has a high incidence rate, which early mobility has been shown to lower the occurrence. Limited movement and excess time in bed makes a person more susceptible to pressure injuries. The use of early mobility can include repositioning, range-of-motion exercises, and ambulation.
