Pediatric patients with chronic illnesses are more likely to have poorer mental health as well as more emotional, behavioral, and concentration issues. These stressors can include physical changes, personal limitations, and the responsibilities of treatment regimens, polypharmacy, and long-term medication therapy. Behavioral therapies are used to help create positive outcomes in response to stressors.
