Integration of Evidence in Professional Nursing Practice Research Presentations, Research presentations (University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida, 2023)
Research from the articles show a shortage of nurses in the hospital setting. Patient ratios in hospitals are increasing, causing low nurse to high patient ratios. Low nurse to high patient ratios results in less time to interact with each patient and an increase risk of poor patient outcomes.
