Abstract
This document presents standards and guidelines for archaeological investigation that have been accepted by the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers and the Southeast Region of that organization. These standards and guidelines are meant to be used by the Review and Compliance Officer in the review of contract archaeology performed in each state. Their purpose is to promote quality and consistency in CRM research.
