Although the internship experience helps to educate and prepare graduate students for careers in industrial/organizational psychology at the master's level, little information exists on the substance and structure of effective internships in this field. We describe the development and preliminary evaluation of an approach toward the internship process and share our ideas for maximizing its learning effectiveness. This approach culminates in a presentation to faculty and students that encourages the integration of classroom knowledge and internship experience. We discuss the benefits of this approach for both the intern presenter and the student attendees.
