Abstract
•Ghost crab (Ocypode quadrata) burrows were examined via articulating borescope.•A greater proportion of burrows were occupied than expected.•Burrows with more branches had significantly higher odds of occupation.•Smaller burrows were often occupied and those further from the water were deeper.•Several animals constructed tunnel plugs during inspection.
