Impact of Kolb’s Learning Style on Selection of Media During Authoring of Multimedia

Abstract
Studies have demonstrated that student performances improve, and attitudes toward learning situations are positive, when learning styles are taken into consideration. This paper looks at the relationship between the selection of media in multimedia and a person's learning style (as determined by Kolb's learning style). Five sections of undergraduate multimedia classes in The College of Professional Studies at The University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida, were surveyed. A sample of 100 (n=100) was collected. This study found dependence between the selection of media in multimedia and Kolb's learning style.
