Exploring the Dimensions of Support for Decriminalizing Drugs

Abstract
A study illustrating the multidimensional nature of views about decriminalization of drugs is presented. Surveys of citizens and criminal justice employees show both groups supporting strict legal penalties for marijuana offenses. The groups also believed decriminalization would lead to an increase in other types of crimes.
