Abstract
Using a short online questionnaire consisting of restricted items and a rating scale, this study determined whether Livejournal bloggers felt a sense of social support and strong network ties within their community of friends. Prior research had only focused on message boards, online groups, and forums. Results revealed that Livejournal users indeed do feel a strong network bond towards their community of friends and obtain moderate social support from fellow users.
