Abstract
The Poverty Simulation is a 3-hour interactive wort<shop that breaks down conceptions about poverty by allowing participants to step into real life roles, situations, and challenges that low-income individuals face every day.
Due to the restriction of in-person event, the Honor Core students converted the in-person experience to a virtual platform with assignments that included creating online webpages. constructing online links and materials. developing operational instructions, designing marketing materials and conducting practice sessions with faculty members.
Each team member took the lead for a community agency. The student was in charge of the activities and transactions for the agency, interacting with the participants. ensuring a successful process. and training a faculty member partner.
The team showcased their project by leading the virtual poverty simulation they developed for over 40 of their Honors Core classmates
