The proposed study explores the experience of the Capitol siege on January 6, 2021, in which four people died, from the vantage point of those who work on Capitol Hill. It extends the analysis of Dr. Evans in her booklength treatment of terrorism and Capitol Hill (2011) and augments the official media accounts of the events of that day. In particular, we ask participants to tell the story of the protest turned into siege from their own vantage point. And we combine this interview data with congressional tweets from Members of Congress on the day of the attack.
