Moving first year experience online for the pandemic

Abstract
The UWF libraries have traditionally used a combination of email contacts from personal librarians supplemented by in-person instruction and short tutorial videos. With the shift toward fewer face to face classes, librarians created a comprehensive Canvas course for FYE students to engage them without appearing in their classes. The new course integrated library instruction based on the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy with a badging system that provides awards to students who complete modules in Academic Integrity, Algorithm Literacy, Information Literacy, and Finding Scholarly Research.
