Abstract

organizational psychology psychological constructs Applied Psychology Worker Attitudes
As is apparent from the previous chapters, researchers have studied a variety of workplace psychological constructs—a term we introduce to subsume the various types of job attitudes, opinions, and beliefs that have appeared in the organizational literature. In this final chapter, we critically evaluate the existing research on these constructs and we discuss topics that are in need of further research attention. We focus here on themes that cut across the many workplace psychological constructs, including issues related to construct conceptualization and measurement, ignored substantive research questions, and practical implications. By highlighting similarities and differences across various workplace psychological constructs, this book provides a needed guide for organizational researchers and practitioners.
